Lorence Johnston of Lok Man Rare Books presents a fine and rare selection of western works on China from the 17thto 19thcentury, around which he will discuss collecting antiquarian books and his experiences over a decade of dealing with rare books in Hong Kong.

Lorence Johnston is the owner of Lok Man Rare Books on Chancery Lane, where 18thcentury sets of Cooke’s voyages mingle with first editions by Hemingway, Conan Doyle and Winston Churchill, and 17thcentury cookbooks line up alongside Alice, Winnie-the-Pooh and Adam Smith. Lorence is a professional member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers.
