This is an online Zoom lecture.
Following the recent release of his book, Trading Places, a Photographic Journey Through China’s Former Treaty Ports, accountant-turned-photographer, Nicholas Kitto, talks about his experiences which culminated in the book.
The talk will commence with a summary of how Nick became interested in the Treaty Port era and describe how the project was approached and evolved. The project itself was very much a joint venture with Robert Nield, a former President of the Society.
The talk will be illustrated with many photographs of buildings from the book.
