Jonathan and Vicky Wattis are delighted to welcome the RAS for a guided tour of their exhibition - the 36th annual Mapping of Asia (c1528 – 1966) featuring a collection of unusual maps, charts, plans and views of Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. A few highlights follow.
The Hong Kong wall shows two scarce photographic panoramas from c1875 and c1927, with a showcase of six scarce city plans from 1867 – 1956, the first three states of the scarce maps of Hong Kong and the New Territories GSGS No. 3961. Published at the War Office, from 1936, 1945, 1949.

Early works by Bordone from c1528. A collection of miniature maps from that period and the early seventeenth century, primarily based on Abraham Ortelius’s work, printed in Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Paris.
